Is the test reproducible?
Application to the paper: "Is it possible to exclude a diagnosis of myocardial damage within
six hours of admission to an emergency department?
Diagnostic cohort study"
BMJ 2001;323:372(18 August)
Yes, the test is very reproducible.
It has been well defined. There is very little inter-observer variability.
Machines measure enzymes and ST segment changes.
But what about patient selection? It would seem that a large number of
patients were excluded for various reasons and the criteria for exclusion
are vague.
No signifance levels or confidence intervals were given.
